PRACTICE PROFILE 

 

Yantl SZE commenced full practice in 2012 after completing her pupilage. She has worked on a wide variety of cases involving areas such as commercial, trust, tort, probate, intellectual properties, finance, securities, employment, land, regulatory, matrimonial, company, insolvency, commercial crimes and core crimes.

Before joining the legal profession, Yantl worked in both consulting and business development fields with customers in both private and public sectors in the Asia Pacific Region.

Yantl is developing a broad civil and criminal practices, and accepts instructions in different areas of work. She has been instructed in a wide range of cases involving areas such as personal injuries, employees’ compensation, family/matrimonial, trust, general commercial, land, probate, intellectual properties, insolvency, interlocutory applications and criminal cases with a wide variety of natures.

She has appeared in her own right before the Lands Tribunal, District Court, Family Court, High Court and Court of Appeal in civil cases. Besides, she has represented clients in the Nursing Council Disciplinary Tribunal and Housing Appeal Panel respectively. In her criminal practice, she has acted as an advocate for the defence at Magistracy level, appeared in her own right as well as a junior counsel in District Court trials and as a junior counsel in appeal to the Court of Appeal. She also conducts prosecution at Magistracy level for the Department of Justice.

Yantl also has experiences in mediating disputes involving areas such as commercial, land, shareholders and winding-up, personal injuries, employees’ compensation, trust, water seepage and family. She is also a Victim-Offender Mediator accredited by Griffith University since 2014.
