PROFILE

 

Sen is developing a broad commercial practice drawing on her commercial experience from a 20-plus year career in investment banking in London and Hong Kong. 

 

Prior to joining Central Chambers, Sen completed her pupillage with Mr Toby Brown of Parkside Chambers for two seats, with Mr Giles Surman of Plowman Chambers for one seat and with Mrs Sasha Allison of Central Chambers for one seat. Since starting her practice, Sen has appeared as junior counsel led by Mr Toby Brown in a trial (debt): Oneonta Trading Corporation v Chan Tat Chee and Chan Yun Fat [2022] HKCFI 144. 

 

Before joining the Bar, Sen was most recently a Director at Schroders Investment Management Hong Kong, where she was also member of the Executive Management and Asset Allocation Committees. Prior to that she held senior positions at: Baring Securities (London); Société Generale (London and Hong Kong); HSBC Asset Management (Hong Kong), during which Sen established her extensive commercial experience in equities, bonds, asset management and equity capital market activities. 

 

During her pupillage, Sen assisted with the drafting and settling of affidavits, submissions and advisory work in a range of commercial matters. 

 

Sen also assisted in a Market Misconduct Tribunal matter during an extended mini pupillage with Mr Clive Grossman QC, SC in 2016.

 

Sen accepts instructions for written submissions, hearings and advisory work either as a led junior or sole counsel.
